Ashi no Shirabe – Honkyoku piece played on this shakuhachi
This shakuhachi used to be my main personal flute from 2019 to 2022.
It took me 3 years to be able to make a better one !
It is my first good ji-ari I was able to study and practice with. I love it’s tone colour, very sweet and velvety.
The pitch is slightly high which makes it somehow comfortable to play. It is responsive and flexible.
This ji-ari plays easily all the different kinko fingerings and techniques.
Its only defaults are aesthetics :
The joint is reversed (the tenon on the higher part) and the tone-holes 3&4 are not centered around the joint.
The are holes corrections visible.
I now sell this flute even if I still love it, I don’t play it anymore.
I made the price attractive because I want it to be played and loved again !
