Fuke Shakuhachi 2.1 in B – Chikudo
This shakuhachi made in the style of Edo period komuso shakuhachi has a beautiful soul; It is a very intimate flute giving a very relaxing feeling leading to inner sounds.
Made in a French piece of bamboo cut just beyond the first root with a curve at the foot, this shakuhachi expresses well it’s sweet velvet tone when played softly. The tuning is well tempered (not as the older tuning).
It is obviously not a concert flute but a great meditation shakuhachi to be explored through the traditional Honkyoku repertoire.
