Kinko Ji-nashi Shakuhachi in D – restored

This Ji-nashi shakuhachi in D is quite old; probably from beginning of 20th century (Taishō or Shōwa era) in regard to bamboo patina and crafting. It has no hanko. Utaguchi was damaged; I replaced completely the horn inlay. The tuning was very bad and the sound was weak and unstable. I worked on the hole tuning with both finger holes and bore adjustments and finally lacquered with urushi.
This shakuhachi is now playing good and will be suitable for a beginner with a clear and easy sound but adapted for solo playing only because the ro (lowest note) is still higher (about 25 cents) with the other notes which can be corrected in the blowing at the embouchure and would be disturbing for ensemble playing. This is due to the length of the flute which is too short (1.69 shaku instead of 1.8)
