2.5 Ji-ari shakuhachi in A made by Sugai Takeharu
I sell this shakuhachi for a customer after having done some pitch corrections.
It is a well made piece of Ji-ari from a renown maker.
The bore is on the narrow side (the reason for A pitch with 2.5 Shaku length).
The overall tone color is pretty bright and it plays easily up to high dai-kan notes.
This shakuhachi had been transformed into a 7 holes at some point but is now back to it’s original tuning.
It is not very often that one can find this size of ji-ari; a good affordable opportunity !
